Laboratory profile
Please, type three key words (or key phrases) characterizing scientific profile of your lab.

-
What was the budget spent by the lab in 2006?
< 20 000 €
20 000 - 100 000 €
100 000 - 500 000 €
> 500 000 €
How many SPM devices are used in the lab?
Specify the model of SPM used (if there are many, then type models of three most modern devices)
-
-
-
Did the lab acquire SPM instruments within last three years?
Yes
No
If yes, specify the model(s)
Evaluate the probability of getting new SPM instrument in 2007-2008

Your preferences concerning SPM devices
Which SPM instrument would be more preferable by your opinion?
Easy-to-begin instrument, low-priced, with minimal set of options (e.g. AFM for contact, tapping and phase imaging; STM).
Instrument providing wide range of options, including complicated ones (e.g. two-pass EFM and MFM, capacitance microscopy, Kelvin probe; imaging in liquid, in controlled atmosphere, at changing temperature etc.); operator must be qualified because of deep hardware control available; the price can be relatively high.
Instrument must be easy but through modular upgrade it can be transformed into the system with full functionality; the price of economic variant is substantially higher, than that of non-upgradeable SPMs.
Your preferences concerning SPM probes (cantilevers)
How many cantilevers per year do you use?
< 20
20 - 50
50 - 100
100 - 500
500 - 1000
> 1000
How often do you usually order cantilever sets?
ones a year or rarer
2-5 times per year
ones per two months or more often
Have you ever ordered cantilevers from NT-MDT?
Yes
No
Please remember three cantilever manufacturers (excluding NT-MDT):

most important characteristics of "good" AFM probe:
high aspect ratio of the tip
high reflection coefficient of cantilever’s back-side
tip radius <10 nm
tip radius <1 nm
force constant is known with high accuracy
resonant frequency is the same for all cantilevers in the set
economic price of the set
fast delivery
esthetically designed packing.
This is the end of questionnaire. The information provided will help us to fit better your preferences.
