August round winner

NT-MDT Co. is happy to present the winner of the August round of the probe images contest ProIMAGE.

Please, meet Dr. Mikhail Shaleev, the researcher of Institute for Physics of Microstructures Russian Academy of Sciences, Russia.

Let’s give the floor to Dr. Shaleev:

"My main work activity is growth of Si/Ge heterostructures by the method of molecular-beam

epitaxy. Due to the large number of grown structures we need regular AFM investigations of them. I perform such investigation by means of NT-MDT's NTEGRA Prima system. Thanks to high quality of NT-MDT device and tips it is possible to obtain good images of grown structures surface. It is very important for me cause my main field of research is Ge(Si) self-assembled islands. We are able to get all parameters of grown islands thanks to such high-quality products of NT-MDT.

And many thanks to my internet community for their votes and to NT-MDT experts for their final choice of my image."

Scan #66 “Sign” has brought the August victory to its author.

The champion image of photoresist on Si substrate after Ge ions treating was obtained by GOLDEN series probe NSG10.

Scan size is 60 x 60 µm.

NT-MDT Co. congratulates Dr. Michael Shaleev with such a stunning victory and wishes him success in his further scientific research! The Company is happy to provide equipment for our clients’ scientific needs that give birth to the great discoveries.
